SDC Members Were Invited to A Concert in Spanish Embassy in Beijing

Invited by Alwin van der Linde, the Cultural Envoy of Extremadura of Spain to China, members of SDC in Beijing honorably joined the jazz and flamenco concert banquet hosted by Embassy of Spain to China on Oct.10th 2017. Together with envoys of various countries attending this cultural event, the SDC members enjoyed the wonderful concert as well as the traditional Spanish food. Ambassador Manuel Valencia Alonso, Deputy Ambassador Jose Luis, and Cultural Counselor Gloria Minguez presented at the banquet.

SDC members invited concluded excellent representatives who had been carrying out sustainable projects around China, including Joy Peng, co-founder of Hua Tao Eco Village, Tina Weng, He Jiahao and Miner Chen from Xinjiang Yongda Orchid Garden, Aaron Zhong from Xinjiang Zhongpu Healthy Life Center, Chris Zheng from Prolo Farm and Wang Huan from Huanxin Bolv Travel Agency. Besides, Professor Wang Chuanli from China University of Political Science and Zhang Fan, Director of Public Diplomacy Center also attended the event.

During the event, SDC representatives introduced H.E. Jose Luis, Deputy Ambassador of Spain to China the domestic and international sustainable projects they had been working on, as well as a series of cultural projects co-organized with Mr. Van der Linde in Sichuan and Xinjiang.

H.E. Jose Luis stated that Spain is one of the major countries along the “Belt and Road”, and the Embassy will focus on promoting cultural exchanges between Chinese and Spanish people. More events are planned to be hosted in the future so that more Chinese people can enjoy and understand the Spanish culture through music, art and food.
