The Exploration and Practice towards Traditional Chinese Culture and Eco-civilization Community Forum jointly hosted by BJ-SDC and Hua Dao Eco-community were successfully held at Hua Dao on March 16th-17th, 2019. This event has gathered around a hundred Chinese and non-Chinese guests from different social sectors to reflect on the integration of eco-communities and traditional Chinese culture, and how eco-communities can incubate education platforms and social enterprises.

Keynote Speech    

The first day of the event started with a drumming ceremony in which the statues of anciet Chinese philosophors, Confucius, Lao Tzu and Wang Yangming were placed along the Philosophy Walkway in the field of Hua Dao Eco-community. The following forum has been highlighted by the meeting of great minds, conversations and discussion on traditional Chinese culture and eco-communities. An extraordinary concert were hosted in the evening at the rape flower field, which brought all the guests and some local villagers into an unforgettable journey of profound and extensive Chinese culture.

Sessions on eco-community and social enterprises were held on the second day. Besides keynote speeches and group discussions, the Promotion Association for the Global Youth Innovation Leaders Community(PILC), an international incubators' alliance, also declared the launch of the International Track - Social Enterprise Group of the 5th China College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Before the event came to its end, Prof. Paul Clarke, founder of Pop Up Foundation led all the guests into a nature-exploration and together they planted walnut trees as a symbol of their love and best wishes to Hua Tao Eco-community.
