Beijing International Exchange Association Sustainable Development Committee

On May 12, the Introduction to "Belonging": 10th Anniversary of Hanwang Forum, co-hosted by Beijing International Exchange Association Sustainable Development Committee (SDC), the Promotion Association for Global Youth Innovation Leaders' Community (PILC) and the Aurora Borealis Foundation (ABF), was successfully held at the Noble Garden in Chengdu and virtually online, and was attended by some 160 people, including members of SDC and representatives of partner organizations from home and abroad.

The day marks the 10th anniversary of the Inaugural Hanwang Forum, a high-level international conference on disaster prevention, relief and sustainable development. People gathered together to memorialize the practical achievements made by SDC over the past 10 years under the guidance of the “Hanwang 7+1” action principle and witnessed the formal announcement of relaunching the International Hanwang Forum 2022 (IHF).

The IHF 2022 will take “Belonging” as its keyword, and will focus on the promotion of eco-communities that fit in with the needs of the current complicated situation. So the event today was also the first introduction to IHF 2022.

At the end of the event, all the participants read out together the Declaration of International Hanwang Forum, through which a new journey to the next ten years was officially started.
