Hang performance

There was no well remembered songs, but each piece of music profoundly touched and resonated with our hearts. The entire concert began with the sounds of nature, and followed by four acts which were “ The Origin of Life”, “The Growth of Life”, “The Perception of Life” and “The Eternity of Life”

A musician plays natural melodies with his ancient instrument

In the first act, the artists used harmonicas of various regions with all types of drums to play “Lullaby”. The soft melody coming out from the instruments that were created thousands of years ago echoed in nature which gives birth and nurtured every creature on the earth. “Connection” then expressed the subtle movements in nature, seasonal wind, animal footsteps, heartbeats, river flow, and above all, the love that we share in common. It was as if a space channel emerged to link the old and the future, to evoke the simplicity and compassion of humans. We were led to become one with all creatures so our bodies, hearts and spirits are in complete resonation, beyond time and space,

In “The Growth of Life”, “Moonlight Meadow”, “No Title” and “The Embrace of the Himalayas” were played in absolute tranquility. Strong beats were absent, instead, peaceful and picturesque landscape emerged. Mild horse head fiddle, fine guqin and vigorous Indian flute along with wonderful voices showed how the nature soothes human spirits.

Moments of the concert

The third act consisted of “Dream of Silk”, “Migration”, “Crossing Ancient Tea Road”, “Magical Gaoligong”. This act tells us the process of the survival and reproduction of lives and the interdependence between human civilization and our natural environment. Ancient oriental instruments were played such as pipa, dulcimer, cymbal, konghou and narrated a rich and diversified perception of life. As the heavenly music of “Magical Gaoligong”pierced through the vault of heaven, we reached the climax by singing ecstatically with the artists.

At the end of the Concert, two children made a calling and started singing “How Are You, My Earth?”. However, it was not a sweet greeting, but a self-questioning as we are the culprit responsible for the melting icecaps, disappearing Amazon rainforest and rising sea level. It is time for us to deeply reflect on how human beings coexist with the nature,

From classical music to natural music, this experience has been an artistic breakthrough for “Given by Heaven for Love” Concert. 2021 was an important milestone for IBR and a start for a new chapter. Together, IBR and BJ-SDC wise to approach and engage with people through music that transmits infinitely love and hope.
